2022-23 JW Doubles Winners Steve Hughes & Dave Lovejoy
Played on March 8th at Chandlers Ford
Lovejoy & Hughes 200-173 Gamblin & Smith
Steve Hughes and Dave Lovejoy both star in the Jim Watts Pairs Finals, after making light work of the St Denys duo 200-71 the pair went up against the in-form Clive Gamblin and Robin Smith, the final was a tight tactical affair with both teams staying within just 1 or 2 points of each other, Dave Lovejoy then got a 20 break to edge in front, a slight advantage that they managed until the end in a nervous second half. Gamblin and Smith had earlier beaten Nick Wood & Mark Spridgeon in their semi but even though they eventually missed out on the trophy they provided a champions display all round.
